Lestika Madina Hasibuan

Lestika Madina Hasibuan is an Indonesian pianist, music pedagogue, and psychomusicologist specialised in early years piano pedagogy and special education. She has an immense interest in empirical music research, specifically for performance science, and physiology and ergonomics of piano playing.

Lestika has been studying piano since the age of five in Yamaha Music Foundation, Jakarta. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance from the Conservatory of Music, Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia, under the tutelage of Marta Podolska, Eliot Jhang, Mina Yamauchi and Mamoru Yabuki. In 2015 she was granted an LPDP Scholarship (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) from the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia to pursue her Master’s degree in Psychology of Music under the supervision of Prof. Stephanie Pitts and Prof. Renee Timmers at the University of Sheffield, UK.

Throughout her career as a Classical pianist and accompanist, she also has been working with living contemporary music composers for concerts, festivals and world premieres, such as; Dwiani Indraningsri, Andreas Arianto Yanuar, Gatot Danar Sulistiyanto, Gardika Gigih Pradipta, Gema Swaratyagita, Matius Shan Boone, Rocky Irvano, Julius Catra Henakin, Hilmi Ridha Mahardika, and Chong Kee Yong.

As a music pedagogue, Lestika has been working with young children and children with special needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech delay and other learning difficulties—particularly in attention span, memory, and coordination skills.

In 2021, Lestika cofounded Psikologi Musik Indonesia, a learned society to encourage the development of Indonesia’s music science ecosystem—as well as to increase the awareness of scholars and society of how music research can help us to serve human wellbeing.

Budi Utomo Prabowo

Conductor, music practitioner and pedagogue who has been collaborating with both national and international musicians, orchestras, and choirs. He gained his formal education at the Music University of Detmold and Freiburg, Germany obtaining a Master of Performing Arts (Diplom Musiker) in February 2007. His non-formal music education was attained at the Juilliard Music School, New York (piano accompaniment), Canford School of Music, UK and Universität Mozarteum, Salzburg (conducting and period instrument).

Mr. Prabowo started his music lessons at the age of 5. His musicality was recognizable since his early learning that led him to win prizes and performance opportunities in the country. He confirmed his prominent achievement by his appointments as a coach for university orchestra, choir, chamber music, and church choir during his life as a student in Detmold and Freiburg. Following his return to Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo had been invited to judge many national and international choir festivals, grand prix marching band, and new music composition competition. He was one of the Jakarta Arts Council’s music committee members (2009-2016). Currently, he posts a position as instructor for young conductors at Musicasa Jakarta and serves the Jakarta City Philharmonic as one of its Board of Directors.

Besides his musical recognitions, Mr. Prabowo holds a bachelor degree in Nuclear Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta and a Master in Information Science degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, USA.

Avanti Fontana

Avanti Fontana is associate professor at Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia. She graduated from Faculty of Economics Universitas Indonesia, before her continuing postgraduate study in France 1997-2003. She obtained her doctoral degree in management science from University Paul Cézanne Aix-en-Provence and ESSEC Business School, as a continuation of her master program (DEA) in a study joint-program (University Paris 10, ESSEC and HEC). She experienced a special research student and fellow status at Keio Business School Japan and Ohio College of Business USA both in 2000.

Alongside to her teaching strategic management and passion, Avanti facilitates learning and coaching innovation by introducing and hosting workshops on The Practice and Art of Innovation following her book publication “Innovate We Can!” in 2009.

Avanti Fontana received the “2018 France Alumni Award” from the Embassy of France in Indonesia. She is the recipient of a French government scholarship 1997-2002 and had exposed her to cultural arts activities besides her research activities with international professors and students of different disciplines and nationalities.

In addition to her teaching and research activities, she managed to collaborate with Vincent Gaspersz on the publication of “Organizational Excellence,” “Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence,” “Lean Six Sigma,” and “Integrated Management Problem Solving.” She cofounded CIS School of Innovation (2010) for business innovation workshops. Following her best graduation from Lemhannas RI (2013), with her colleagues she cofounder Planet Inovasi Foundation (2014) and promoted social collaboration allowing Planet Inovasi to disseminate passion, spirit, and discipline of innovation to young people.

Music colours her life. Avanti has a particular interest in music learning and classical music. One of her observations and application was in 2009 on her encountering Don Campbell’s research work on “The Mozart Effect for Children: Awakening Your Child's Mind, Health and Creativity with Music”. Since 2012, she has been observing music education for young children. “Nurtured by Love” (Shinichi Suzuki), “The Talent Code” (Daniel Coyle), and “Grit” (Angela Duckworth) are among her references. She gains experiences and general knowledge in this field by committing herself to accompany, coach, and manage her children's music learning.

Ingrid M. Cahya

S.P. majoring in Agribusiness from IPB University in 2000, her love for music put her to a magnificent music world. Ingrid had been learning from Indonesian leading, dedicated musicians. Among them are Latifah Kodijat-Marzoeki, Iswargia R. Sudarno, Binu D. Sukaman, Bintang Prakarsa, Budi Utomo Prabowo. Discussing and actualizing the revision of Piano Kawanku was part of her journey with Ibu Latifah Marzoeki. Later, by many chances they offered, these amazing teachers inspired Ingrid to become an activist in developing classical music community in Indonesia.

Ingrid attempted various areas in the music world. She started her journey as a piano teacher. Afterwards, Ingrid had become a copyist for Ananda Sukarlan, a music theory teacher, and a music teacher at a prominent-private middle school. In every path she takes, Ingrid always enriches herself. To participate in lectures and workshops are part of her means to improve in teaching. Workshop by Randal Faber – author of Piano Adventures series, Ying-Ying Ng – author of Theory for Young Children, and Alice Yap – author of Theory Gym, are among her best experiences in fun-teaching workshops. As the outcome of her self-improvement, her students had achieved numerous awards nationally and furthermore, internationally.

Ingrid appeared in performances held by Jakarta Concert Orchestra, Jakarta Children and Youth Choir, Jakarta Conservatory of Music and Musicasa. She was appointed to manage Jakarta Conservatory of Music and then Elly Lim Music Studio. In addition to her organizational skill, Ingrid has established and organized many prestigious piano competitions in Indonesia, among them are JCoM National Piano Competition, Indonesia Steinway Youth Piano Competition, Jakarta International Open Piano Competition, and Indonesia International Piano Competition.

Kezia Putri

Kezia Putri, MMT, MTA, MT-BC, graduated from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia BA program in music - music therapy concentration in 2016. Her final project was titled “The use of clinical improvisation to reduce the negative symptoms of outpatients with Schizophrenia”. In 2017 she decided to pursue her Master's degree in Music Therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. During her study at WLU, she had the opportunity of working as an MT student intern at Trinity Long Term Care facility, mainly working in the Dementia care as well as Palliative care; and Homewood health center in which she had the opportunity to work with patients with PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, clinical depression, anxiety, and addiction rehab inpatients.

In 2019 she attained her board certification and Canadian music therapy accreditation. She was trained in Neurologic Music Therapy, as well as the level 1 of Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. She is currently a full time MT lecturer and program coordinator at the Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia. Aside from her work at UPH, she is also practicing music therapy part time, mainly working with adults with mental health concerns, as well as seniors.

As a passionate advocate for music therapy profession, she is actively engaged in international discussion within music therapists in the South-East Asia region and the north american region. She is one of the scientific committee members for the music therapy world congress 2023. Her current interest is in exploring the potential of Indonesian traditional musical resources for therapeutic purposes, as well as the concept of music and medicine within Indonesian traditional culture.

PROFIL PERFOMANCE :

Beatrice Jean Consolata Gobang, vocal

Beatrice Jean Consolata Gobang was born in Jakarta June 19, 2009. In her young age, Beatrice made her accomplishment by winning many prizes in international vocal competitions. Winning the first prize and Exceptional Young Talent special prize of the 2021 Golden Classical Music Awards were her achievements among all. These prominent achievements bring her opportunities to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York. In December 2022, Beatrice will be performing at the Golden Classical Music Awards Ceremony (December 19, 2022) and American Protégé Winners Recital (December 27, 2022). She posts her musical journey on her Instagram account @beatriceconsolata as part of her performance practice.
Beatrice took her voice lessons at The Resonanz Music Studio since 2017 under Valentina Nova and later in 2021 she advanced her study under Aning Katamsi. Beatrice is also an active member of The Resonanz Children Choir since 2018. Besides singing, Beatrice also plays violin under Yasintha Pattiasina, Mellody Arben, and recently under young Indonesian violin stellar Giovani Biga. Piano lesson is also part of her activity that enrich her musical life. Currently she is a piano student of Harimada Kusuma at the Jakarta Conservatory of Music.

Emma Samantha Bingei, piano

Emma Samantha Bingei is one of Indonesia’s young, promising pianists. She started her music lessons at a young age. Since 2015, Emma furthered her piano lesson under Ingrid M. Cahya and regularly competed and won prizes in national and international piano competitions. Winning the First Prize and Best Performance of Modern Composer in the 2021 Indonesia International Youth Piano Competition was one of her achievements.

Other than competitions and festivals, Emma has made her appearances in the student recitals organized by Elly Lim Music Studio. In 2017, Emma was an ABRSM High Scorer’s achiever and performed at the ABRSM High Scorers’ concert in the following year of 2018.
In addition to performing and competing, Emma is constantly active in the music world by participating in masterclasses and attending concerts and lectures. She has performed in masterclasses instructed by Steven Spooner, Roger Lord, Jay Hershberger, Gordon Fergus-Thompson, Pascal Rogé, Massimiliano Baggio, Christine Utomo, and Marta Karbownicka.
